Strawberry Season Update
Strawberry season is winding down but there are a few berries left out in the Patch!
We had some great pickers out here yesterday and they picked some beautiful fruit! However, our final day of strawberry season is here. The Patch will be open on Tuesday from 4pm-8pm for pick-your-own strawberries and sugar snap peas. Sorry, but pre-picked berries are no longer available.
We've been picking for over two weeks already and the season typically lasts just 2-3 weeks; which means we are counting our blessings for every day we have remaining to pick berries. Picking has slowed down a bit, but for the experienced picker or for someone looking to get a few for fresh eating there are plenty of beautiful berries waiting to be picked.
Bures Berry Patch accepts cash, check, or charge. And picking containers are provided.
For your enjoyment Bures Berry Patch also sells: bulk pectin, eggs, pure maple syrup, local honey, frozen strawberry rhubarb pies, frozen cream of asparagus soup, and more.
Don't forget to Like us on Facebook for updates on what is happening in the Patch! In addition, this can be a great resource for recipes and strawberry ideas. We'd also love to see pictures of your little ones all sticky with strawberry juice (might just be next year’s postcard picture)!
Our strawberries have traveled far and wide in the past 10+ years that we have been strawberry farmers and we can't thank you enough for sharing our berries with those close to you. We really do appreciate all of our customers and your love for fresh, ripe and delicious produce!
Hope to see you in the Patch soon,
Farmer Kathy and Farmer Ed
